Our gardens have had another VIP visitor!
One of our regular and very appreciated guests came to visit the gardens today; and, as usual, he left us with a wonderful blueprint of what’s really going on down there… stunning macro photos! 🔍🐜🕷️🌱📸
Richard Burchill you have such a beautiful gift for putting the tiny, often overlooked residents of our gardens firmly into the spotlight.
While we’re busy looking at the big picture, you remind us that there is a whole other world happening just a few millimetres away. Thank you for once again showing us the garden through your eyes.💚

One person’s trash is another gardener’s treasure!
A huge thank you, Roisin Allen and David Carey for the generous donation of a pruner, shelf, buckets and a collection of other handy little garden goodies. We can put every one of them to good use at the garden!

So, before you clear out that garden shed or wonder what to do with those “I might need this one day” items… think of us! 😄
If you have surplus gardening tools, fencing, star pickets, trellises, or other useful garden bits and pieces, we’d be very happy to give them a second life at the garden.

Less waste, more growing. 🌱

From the Mossman Mill to Circle of Plenty!
We were very fortunate to receive two beautiful benches from the Mossman Mill, and they have now been given a wonderful new lease on life.
The local Mossman Men’s Shed has proudly restored both benches — and what a transformation! They have brought them back looking almost as good as new, ready to become part of our garden and be enjoyed by our volunteers and visitors for years to come.
We are so proud to have them at Circle of Plenty and incredibly grateful to the Men’s Shed for the time, skill and care they put into restoring them for us.
Thank you, Mossman Men’s Shed! ?
It is wonderful to see different parts of our local community contributing to and helping build something together.
Now we just need to decide who gets the first sit-down!

The annual MBG haircut is happening! ✂️!
Douglas Shire Council is on its annual slashing of the Mossman Botanic Garden site and what a difference it makes!
With everything freshly slashed, Circle of Plenty is beautifully visible again; we love seeing our little garden sitting proudly within the landscape.
It only happens once a year, so we are definitely taking the opportunity to celebrate our brief moment in the spotlight!
Thank you to the DSC and the slashing team who helped this wonderful space looking its best.

A roaring leo working celebration! what a blooming good day it was. Thank you all for coming!
There is something special about working together and seeing the garden slowly transform.
A big roar to our Leos.. and everybody else who joined us for your energy, muscles, good humour and willingness to get stuck in. Work done, garden and volunteers happy, bellies full after the cakes - real treats. All left happily satisfied.
Now, that is what I call a successful working bee. 😄

A huge shout-out to the wonderful team at for keeping our compost brewing with their endless supply of coffee grounds!☕
What was yesterday's flat white is today's healthy tomatoes. That's circular economy at its finest. Less waste, happy worms, healthier soil and great vegetables with
just enough caffeine to grow a little faster!🤣
