This recent project was a very challenging double-brick house renovation in Rydalmere NSW, the final result turned out beautifully.
At the beginning, the site was in a rough condition. After demolition, a lot of hidden issues came out: old brick walls, uneven openings, damaged ceilings, messy wiring, and a bathroom that had to be rebuilt almost from scratch. Because it was a double-brick house, every change was harder than usual — cutting openings, adjusting door frames, running plumbing, and fixing the walls all took extra time and effort.
The bathroom was one of the toughest parts. It started with exposed brick, rough flooring, and new plumbing work. Then we had to take care of new foundation, waterproofing, wall preparation, tiling, drainage, and finally the installation of the shower screen, toilet, vanity, and fittings. Step by step, it changed from a dark, unfinished space into a clean and modern bathroom.
The hallway and rooms also needed a lot of work. The ceilings were repaired and replaced, the walls were patched, skimmed, sanded, and painted, and new flooring was installed throughout. We also fitted new door frames, doors, skirting boards, trims, and a sliding barn-style door. A lot of the original structure was uneven, so every detail had to be adjusted carefully to make the final finish look neat and straight.
In the end, all the hard work paid off. Some of our guys and tardies worked till night! What started as an old, dusty, difficult renovation site became a bright, clean, and comfortable home. The white doors and trims, soft grey walls, timber-look flooring, and modern bathroom all came together perfectly.
This job was definitely not easy — it was messy, time-consuming, and full of surprises — but the final result was worth it. A tough double-brick renovation with a perfect ending.
