A fence isn’t always just a fence👷♂️
There’s often a lot more to a quality fence installation than simply removing the old fence and putting up a new one.
On this project there was a difference in ground levels between the two properties which needed to be considered as part of the installation.
Treated timber sleepers were installed along the base of the new Colorbond fence to help:
✔️ Accommodate the difference in ground levels
✔️ Help prevent soil washing underneath the fence
✔️ Provide a clean and defined finish along the boundary
When installing a new fence, ground levels, drainage, soil movement and the conditions on both sides of the boundary all matter.
Simply running Colorbond sheets down to meet the ground isn’t always the best solution. Taking the time to address what’s happening at ground level can help protect the fence and provide a much cleaner, longer lasting result.
