A little different from our usual bathroom renovations this week, we completed a rectification of an existing shower and bathroom.

Once demolition commenced, we uncovered significant water ingress and damage within the existing floor and wall construction, requiring the scope to extend well beyond what was originally visible.

We stripped the affected areas back, repaired the floor and shower framing, installed new wet-area substrates and waterproofing, retiled the shower and floor, and completed the bathroom ready to go back into service.

Plenty of work hidden behind what looks like a relatively simple finished result - but that's often where the most important work is.

The ensuite at our Mt Nelson project is now complete. This space had significant issues with ventilation and dampness, including deteriorating flooring and constantly damp walls after use. We completely gutted the space, repairing the damaged substrate and framing. The installation of an over the shower fan, additional to the fan/heat lamp fixture, is standard in all our bathroom renovations and significantly reduces further issues. This is especially important in areas prone to humidity and mildew. We are super excited for our clients and their new space. 👏🏻

From a burnt out shell, to absolute fire 🔥

Our Moonah project is now complete. We worked with our client through the insurance process after significant damage was caused by a kitchen fire to their generational family home. We did our best to honour the original house while updating key areas including the kitchen, bathroom, laundry and living spaces. We had the original Tasmanian Oak floors sanded and refinished, while replacing them in the laundry for a seamless transition.
