This is what most roofs look like right before they start causing real headaches.

Tiles are worn out, ridge caps are tired, and you can already see patch jobs where things have been “fixed” over the years. It might not be leaking today, but it’s getting close.

I see this all the time — homeowners trying to stretch a few more years out of it. Fair enough. But once it gets to this point, you’re usually better off doing it properly instead of chasing repairs.

Bit of a different one today.

Quick look at the roof line and details, then back on the ground sorting the rest. Not every day’s a full rip and replace,
sometimes it’s just about getting eyes on it and working out what actually needs doing.

I’ve been doing this long enough to know when something’s urgent and when it’s not. I’ll always give it to you straight.

Old tiles breaking down, sheets below starting to rust out, and that skylight… seen better days. Water’s got plenty of entry points here, it’s just a matter of time before it shows up inside.

I get called to these a lot after the damage is already done. Bit of upkeep early would’ve saved a headache, but once it gets to this stage, you’re looking at a proper fix.

This is what I’m talking about when I say gutters get left too long.

Built up muck, moisture sitting there, and before you know it the steel starts going. Once it rusts through like this, there’s no patching it properly — it’s replacement time.

I see this all over Melbourne, and most of the time it could’ve been avoided with a bit of maintenance early on. No scare tactics, just the reality of it.

This is what most people don’t see until the roof comes off.

Old battens shot, insulation all over the place, services running everywhere… and no real protection left between you and the weather. It might look “okay” from the ground, but up here tells a different story.

We strip it right back, sort the structure properly, and build it back the way it should’ve been done in the first place. No shortcuts. That’s how you avoid headaches later.

Long sheets, straight lines, fixings all sitting where they should. No patchwork, no shortcuts — just a roof laid properly so it performs the way it’s meant to.

Most of the time you don’t notice a roof like this… and that’s the point. It just does its job, year after year, no fuss.

Nice clean lines, tight ridge work, everything sitting exactly where it should. That little hip section up top might not look like much from the ground, but if it’s done wrong, it’s where you’ll get issues first. No shortcuts here — all flashed and finished properly so it lasts.

Big open run on the main roof too, all straight, consistent, and fixed off right. Simple job on paper, but it only looks this clean when it’s done properly.
