A family came to me recently because they were trying to work out how to reorganise their home for a senior family member who was finding it difficult to access an upstairs bedroom.
They were thinking they might need to move bedrooms downstairs, rearrange rooms and potentially make some pretty major changes to the house.
I went away, had a think about it and came back to them with another suggestion, had they considered a compact home lift?
I had come across them years ago, before The Everyday Helper Co., when I helped someone with something similar, so I knew it was worth exploring.
From there, I did some research and found a few companies and options for them to look at.
Nothing has been installed yet, but it has given them another possible way forward, one that could be much easier, less disruptive and potentially less expensive than having to build or completely reconfigure bedrooms downstairs.
That’s the kind of thing I really enjoy doing, helping people look at a problem from another angle and finding practical options that might make things a little easier.
