156 ppm of Carbon Monoxide. That's not just a problem β that's a serious health risk. β οΈ We were called out to inspect a gas log fire as part of a VEU upgrade job, and this is what our Carbon Monoxide detector picked up on site. To put that into perspective β anything above 70 ppm is considered dangerous. This home was sitting at 156 ppm. The homeowner had no idea. π°
This is exactly why a proper inspection matters. CO is colourless, odourless, and completely silent β you won't smell it, you won't see it, but it can make your family seriously ill. The old gas log fire has since been replaced with a brand new Daikin floor console system β clean, efficient, and completely safe. β
If you have a gas heater at home and it hasn't been inspected in a while, please don't wait.
