INTERIOR INSPIRATION // Caulfield North House

There’s a quiet confidence to Caulfield North House, a home that reveals itself gradually, shaped as much by movement as it is by form. The experience begins before entry, carried through landscape and into a sequence of unfolding spaces.

At its centre, a courtyard introduces a moment of stillness. Light filters inward from this point, shifting the atmosphere as you move through the home and drawing the eye outward to garden and pool beyond.

The material palette feels assured. Timber and stone are used with intention, not to dominate but to hold the space. There’s a quiet weight to these elements, giving the interior a sense of permanence.

Above, the plan loosens. Private spaces are arranged with a sense of distance, allowing moments of retreat while remaining connected. The stair curves upward as a gentle transition, marking the shift in pace between levels.

Rather than relying on statement, the house settles into itself. It is measured and composed; a home that supports daily life without asking for attention.

IVANHOE RESIDENCE // A quiet clarity defines the home, where restraint and precision shape a design that feels both resolved and effortless.

Above the dining setting, the Trilogy Horizontal Pendant introduces a sense of rhythm — staggered forms and softened glass creating a refined focal point that anchors the room.

Light shifts in character as it moves through the home. The Fizi Round Wall Sconce animates the surface with texture and reflection, while the Float Wall Sconce settles into a more elongated, composed presence.

A modern interior softened by material richness, where light is woven into the design with precision and ease.

CJH Studio creates both a unique escape as well as a familiar and highly considered series of spaces of retreat.Intended as a transportive portal, House Caramél combines an existing townhouse shell and carefully layers a textural richness to elevate the everyday experience. CJH Studio focuses on embedding warmth through subtle variations and a blanketed consistency throughout, emphasising the home as a place of calm.

Designed to sit naturally within its rural setting, the home feels shaped by the land as much as it is placed upon it. The interior carries a sense of weight and permanence, where space unfolds slowly and materials hold their ground.

Light moves gently across monolithic forms, softening their scale and grounding the home in its setting, a contemporary expression of rural living that feels enduring rather than imposed.
