McLeod Trees are one of the largest and most recognized tree companies established in the South Eastern and Bayside suburbs. Our solid client base consists of local private residents, and a large range of property managers and corporate clients, as well as many schools, garden maintenance workers, hospitals, golf courses, development and construction companies and many more. McLeod Trees is based

on providing first class customer service and instant response; as such we are able to operate an efficient and quality company without the need for large scale advertising, which we see as a constant reflection of our service and quality. McLeod Trees was established in 1978 by Craig McLeod, then a small company providing a tree removal and pruning service throughout the Outer Eastern Suburbs. Craig gradually built the company through many years of dedicated and efficient customer service, quickly establishing himself as a major player in the industry and building a solid client base. Jack Sinclair joined the company as an employee in 1998, bringing with him 7 years experience in the arboriculture industry from within Australia and internationally. Jack holds a Diploma of Applied Science in Horticulture/Arboriculture, an Advanced Certificate in Horticulture and a Forestry Felling Certificate. Since 2004 McLeod Trees has built upon this strong reputation and continues to offer an excpetional quality service to our expanding network of clients. McLeod Trees are a member of the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) and the Australian Chapter of the ISA (ISAAC), and the Victorian Tree Industry Organisation (VTIO).

Good to see a project come to life!

We recently had the pleasure of supporting the Friends of Braeside Park with the delivery of these beautiful cypress timber sculptures.

The timber was repurposed from trees that McLeod Trees had previously removed due to safety concerns, giving it a new purpose instead of going to waste. We were proud to sponsor the creation of these sculptures, and it's incredibly rewarding to finally see the finished result.

A huge thank you to the dedicated volunteers at Friends of Braeside Park for the passion and care they put into preserving and enhancing this wonderful community space. It's projects like these that show what can be achieved when local businesses and community groups work together.

As we wrap up for the long weekend, we hope you all have a fantastic Easter and enjoy the break.

These beautiful eggs were found in a tree proposed for works - a quick photo shoot, and then we got ourselves out of the tree to give these little guys a chance to grow up!

Happy Easter to All 🤩

The yard looks fresh this morning, complete with this selection of native trees, ready for planting to replace the removal of several hazardous trees.

This is part of the job we are all proud to be part of, helping to maintain canopy cover for the communities' open spaces and practising sustainable Arboriculture for the future.

Ahead of International Women's Day - we would like to do a big shout out to our team.

This is a day close to our heart at McLeods. Women are very well represented here, with 32.5% of our employees female, at every level of the business.

We have women running the crews all over the state, women dragging branches to the chipper. We have women carrying out risk assessments, and bossing meticulous picks for crane removals. We have women dealing with the finance, the nuts and bolts of the consulting department, women studying for both Cert 3, and Cert 5 to help grow the future of women in arb. Our resources are managed and our problems solved day to day by a woman. And of course we have some of the most talented female competition climbers in the world!!!

We strive to give everyone in our team every opportunity they need to prove themselves and show what they are capable of. These women are talented, powerful cogs in our machine and we are proud that they deem us worthy of their time and service.

"Feminism isn’t about making women strong. Women are already strong. It’s about changing the way the world perceives that strength."

🌿 National Apprenticeship Week 🌿

This week, we’re giving a huge shout-out to our up-and-coming apprentices and celebrating the opportunities McLeod Trees is proud to offer the next generation of arborists.

We genuinely believe apprenticeships are a positive experience at every level of the business. With the variety of jobs, equipment, environments, and talent within our team, McLeod Trees is the perfect place to kickstart a career in arboriculture.

Our apprentices are given exposure to a wide range of work — supported with the time, guidance, and hands-on experience they need to learn and grow alongside some of the best in the industry. There’s nothing more rewarding than watching a keen apprentice build confidence, develop their skills, and truly find their footing in the trade.

While there’s no escaping the hard work on the ground, we believe it’s just as important to get apprentices up in the tree when it’s safe to do so. Variety is key — and early exposure helps build genuine respect for the skill, teamwork, and responsibility that arboriculture demands.

We’ve had many apprenticeship success stories over the years, and we’re incredibly proud of the role we’ve played in shaping the careers of so many great arborists.

Happy National Apprenticeship Week — and congratulations to our amazing current and past apprentices 👏🌳

What’s left after tree removal doesn’t have to be a problem for long.🏡

Using our RG80 stump grinder, we removed this eucalyptus stump in minutes - without disturbing the concrete, the pathway, or the fence still in place.

Safety is always our priority. That’s why the RG80 is operated remotely, allowing our team to work at a safe distance while maintaining full control of the job.
