SJB have designed Collingwood, Abbotsford, Coburg and now Fabbrica for us — and every time, they've built something that knows exactly where it is.

Exposed brick at Collingwood. A preserved shoe factory façade at Abbotsford. Arched masonry at Pentridge. And at Fitzroy, a building drawn from the suburb's industrial and creative past. Different streets. Same instinct for place.

PAST PACE | Pace of Blackburn.

Blackburn is the kind of suburb families don't leave — leafy streets, good schools, parklands around every corner. Ascui & Co. designed something that belonged there: architecture that complemented the streetscape rather than competing with it. Adele Bates handled the interiors. MDG brought the landscaping to life.

The brief was modern family living. The result was a new urban village — with retail and dining brought to the neighbourhood as part of the package.
