How do you compare window film installers when the industry is not licensed in the same way as plumbing or electrical work?

Accreditation is a useful place to start. UV Window Coatings holds all three credentials discussed in this video:

Improving year round comfort without changing the character of this Carnegie home.

The owners of this California bungalow were experiencing strong afternoon heat through the west facing windows. They were also concerned about fading to their furniture and floors, and heat escaping through the glass during winter.

We installed a premium all season window film to help reduce solar heat during summer, slow UV related fading and retain more internal warmth during winter.

The film has a clear appearance, so the owners can still enjoy their outlook without significantly changing how the original windows look.

This home office had two problems: strong sun and reduced privacy after a new medical centre opened nearby.

The homeowners wanted to stop people looking in without closing the curtains and losing their backyard view.

Daytime privacy film was a practical solution. From inside, they can still enjoy the outlook. From outside, the glass has a reflective appearance that provides privacy during daylight hours. The film also helps reduce glare in the room.

Big thanks to the team at Damm Good Cafe for letting us loose on their front window.

Their corner coffee nook is one of the best seats in Elsternwick, right on the street, morning light pouring in. The catch was that same north-facing glass turned the spot into a hot box by mid-morning, and nobody wants to drink a flat white while sweating it out.

We installed 3M Prestige 70 Exterior on the outside of the glass, a multi-layer optical film that cuts the heat without tinting the window or blocking the view. Customers can still watch the world go by, the street can still see straight into that gorgeous nook, and now it's actually comfortable to sit in all day.

We tested this ourselves before making any claims about it.

6 days test on a Richmond high-rise apartment. One pane fitted with 3M Prestige 40 Exterior, the pane next to it left untreated as a control. Solar radiation measured on both, continuously, with real British Thermal Units meters.

Results, independently checked by 3M Australia:
East-facing pane: 75.6% less heat getting through
West-facing pane: 85.0% less heat getting through
