This home had an orange-toned timber staircase and dated pale tiles that were starting to make the space feel a little tired.

We stripped the staircase right back and restained it in a deep, almost-black finish, then installed new hybrid flooring over the existing tiles.

A simple change, but what a difference it made to the whole space.

After 7 years of building our France Maya Floors Instagram page, sharing our work, connecting with customers and growing our little family business, we’re absolutely devastated to say that our original account was hacked and closed.

Despite everything we’ve tried, we have been unable to retrieve the account, meaning 7 years of posts, followers, reviews of our work and memories have disappeared with it.

So… we’re starting again. 🤍

These timber floors in this Langwarrin home had been here since the 1970s and, in all that time, had never been sanded or restored.

After decades of everyday life, they were definitely showing their age, but we could see there was still a beautiful floor hiding underneath.

After a full sand and refinish, the transformation was incredible. Seeing the character and warmth of the timber come back to life is always rewarding, especially when the clients are as happy with the result as these ones were.
