Recently completed: a workplace transformation for Athletics Australia !

This transformation represented an opportunity to make use of what was an under-utilised part of the building, hidden away in the dark....This project wasn’t about simply refreshing finishes or placing furniture into an existing footprint. It was about fundamentally rethinking how the space worked.

We completely reconfigured the layout to better respond to the building envelope, unlock natural light and create a space that genuinely supports the way the team works day-to-day.

The existing layout wasn’t making the most of the architecture or available light, so we stepped back, challenged the brief and completely flipped the spaces. The result is a space that feels more open, connected and intuitive — shaped around actual needs, not assumptions. You also can see all the way out to the exterior instead of it being blocked by built form.

One thing I think is important to share in commercial design is the process, not just the polished outcome.
