A great morning at E&S Appliances today for a BORA cooking experience! 👏

We had the opportunity to see BORA’s appliances in action, including a live cooking demonstration showcasing their cooktop with integrated extraction, as well as learning more about their oven and how their appliances are designed to work within the kitchen.

As cabinet makers, understanding appliances goes far beyond knowing their dimensions. The appliances selected for a kitchen can have a significant impact on the cabinetry design, ventilation, clearances, storage and the way everything needs to be integrated.

Experiences like this are incredibly valuable for us. The more we understand about the products our clients are choosing, the better we can design and manufacture cabinetry around them - making sure the final result is not only beautiful, but practical and properly considered from the beginning.

And, of course, getting to experience the appliances while enjoying some delicious food wasn't too bad either! 😄

Good cabinetry is about more than what you see. It’s also about how it works, feels and fits into everyday life.

Last week, our team took part in Häfele’s Black Box Tour, exploring the possibilities of integrated lighting and how it can be incorporated into custom cabinetry.

And there are so many possibilities.

From subtle lighting under kitchen cabinets and shelving, to illuminated wardrobes, feature lighting in an island, task lighting in a study, or lights that automatically switch on when you open a cupboard door.

It’s these details that can completely change the way cabinetry looks and functions.

For us, staying up to date with new products, technology and design solutions is an important part of what we do. The more we know about what’s available, the more we can offer our clients when designing and building their spaces.
