W2 Chengdu continues to make strong progress on site, with façade works and the external building envelope advancing steadily.

W2 Residences form part of Wide Horizon’s flagship Luxelakes Eco-City development in the Tianfu New Area, Chengdu. It is rewarding to see the design intent continuing to translate into built form through close coordination across the project team.

Where it all began.
C30 at Luxelakes was commissioned in 2020 as a pair of luxury residential towers, rising gently from the piers of the man-made lakes and woven into a rich ecological landscape. More than a project, it marked the beginning of a long-term collaboration with West Horizon Development Group — grounded in trust, continuity, and a shared belief in quality-led design.

"THE PLACE: 2025 High-End Residential Design Trends Exhibition" started yesterday at the Guangzhou Construction Expo and Canton Fair. XO Projects presents their distinctive narratives about the "luxury of the place" at an invited exhibition of international architectural firms.

We are presenting the under-construction C7 multi-residential towers in Chengdu and four adjacent A10 pavilions, organizing the water canal along the way. The project is scheduled for completion in 2028 and will feature six high-rise buildings and four mid-rise condominiums, creating a residential community surrounded by a man-made lake.

What drove the design response for this stunning development site of Chengdu Wide Horizon Group is our belief that true luxury may sync with the concept of "The Energy of a Metropolis, the Privacy of a Remote Island."

W2 Promenade by XO Projects : A Sensorial Urban Connector

The W2 Commercial Promenade is a porous retail spine that dissolves boundaries between nature and city, drawing the green park inward and threading it through a dynamic mix of retail, hospitality, and residences.

Our journey with Chengdu Wide Horizon Investment Group continues into 2025. Inspired by the serene beauty of Luxelakes in Tianfu New Area.

Taking cues from the elegance of ocean yachts, the design integrates advanced engineering with resort-style vertical amenities. Spacious 3- and 4-bedroom apartments feature floating terraces perfect for relaxation and entertainment, redefining luxury living by the water.

Construction began in 2023, with completion set for 2027. We are thrilled to collaborate with Wide Horizon, Sunway International, and SAN to bring this vision to life!

We are excited to share the most recent close-up images of our designs for the Wide Horizon Investment Group. The facade mock-ups, which include embedded LED lighting, are currently in the final testing stage. These mock-ups will be part of the facade system for the four buildings of the "W2 Commercial" development, which will house retail and office headquarters.

Discover W2

Luxe Lake eco-city, developed by Chengdu Wide Horizon Investment Group, is where nature meets urban living. This thriving community boasts over 550 hectares of parks, forests, lakes, and canals, along with a town centre, arts village, schools, and a resort district.

XO Projects designed the W2 district, featuring twelve mid-rise towers (15 to 21 stories) arranged around green courtyards. These towers shield a communal courtyard from the bustling pedestrian street, which is lined with retail and hospitality spots.
The towers' unique 'groove' skin design creates diverse micro-environments with integrated signage and lighting, defined by stacked, clustered balconies. W2 commercial buildings bring energy to the promenade, connecting spaces for retail, hospitality, business, and residences.

Sunway International Corporation Chengdu is the executive architect, with Wide Horizon Architectural Design and Research Centre managing the project. Construction began in 2023, main structure completion set for late 2024 and move-in by late 2026.

The duet of C30 towers in Chengdu recently reached its highest point. The two forty-storey towers contain three- and four-bedroom apartments. The entire Ripple building complex will be completed by June 2025, while the lake and landscape integration will be completed by January 2026.

During our site inspection with the collaborative architects of Wanhua Product & Research Development Center, we visited the nearby project showroom, which shows the project's exterior fabric and interior spectre.
