This Brighton project involved replacing a severely rotted and dangerously fractured load-bearing roof beam.
We carefully supported the roof structure with temporary props and raised it back to the correct level before removing the damaged beam and installing a new structural beam. The surrounding timber framing was repaired and correctly aligned, followed by new cement-sheet boxing around the beam.
We also repaired the plasterboard inside the covered terrace, applied new render to match the original finish and repainted the completed area. The roof structure is now properly supported, and the terrace has been restored to its original appearance.
