Most homeowners don't realise their smoke alarms have an expiry date.🚨
Every smoke alarm has a manufacture date printed on the back, and they're only designed to last 10 years.
Over time the sensors inside smoke detectors degrade and become less sensitive, which means they may not detect smoke quickly enough in a fire.

As the weather cools down, possums go looking for a warm, dry place to nest - and your roof ticks every box.
Your power line might be their favourite shortcut to get there.
