ARKit is a design & build group. We specialise in high quality, customised prefab building solutions. Our projects are individually designed and handcrafted.

We are primarily architects who build; we apply the time and quality benefits of prefabrication to deliver a built outcome of the highest quality. Each of our projects begins through close engagement with our clients to develop a brief and explore the options. We let the architecture guide the building method rather than the other way around. Our costs are all inclusive and encompass full architec

tural design services, technical consultancy fees, authority costs and turnkey construction including site works and services, delivery, warranties and insurance. Our building systems use timber because it is more sustainable. We enjoy being involved in a diverse range of projects and the opportunity to explore new applications for prefabrication. We welcome the collaboration between architect and client that results in the creation of new spaces.

Three Pavilions. Every custom floor plan starts with the site. Here, mature vegetation and a rare coastal allotment shaped a design of linked pavilions, connected by an internal corridor and outdoor walkways rather than a single conventional footprint. Designed as a permanent sea change for inner-city owners downsizing, the plan balances an efficient everyday layout with a self-contained guest space that expands the home when needed. It’s proof that prefab doesn’t mean generic; it means a home built around how you actually live.

Three Pavilions. A coastal home designed to sit within the landscape.

Stained blackbutt cladding set deliberately against pale eucalyptus and coastal vegetation. Three separate pavilions, lightly positioned within the site, connected by walkways and decks.

The brief was simple — downsize without compromise.

Seashore Sanctuary. A study in contrast — dark cladding against warm timber, hard landscaping softened by native planting. The pergola extends the living space outdoors, framing the garden without closing it in.

Every material choice here does double duty: durable, low-maintenance, and considered down to the last detail. This is what advanced prefabricated architecture looks like on the ground.

Construction is underway on seven new modular homes for on the Mornington Peninsula — homes that shape lives, not just shelter them.

Delivered under the Big Housing Build, with funding support from
with land leased from Mornington Peninsula Shire Council, the development will provide four one-bedroom and three two-bedroom homes for women and their children, completing in early 2027. WPI received generous support from TEN Women, the The Jack and Ethel Goldin Foundation and for Homes for this project.

Goldmate Sales Suite. A 205sqm sales office designed and built by Arkit, with the same quality and attention to detail as our residential work.
Prefabrication makes this kind of project particularly well suited to a developer's timeline. Built in our workshop, installed efficiently, and finished to a standard that reflects well on the brand it represents.
