Taskforce

12/10/2026

On Saturday night, several of our head office team joined some of our female trades, real estate and housing clients at the Empowered Women In Trades (EWIT) Group Australia Gala Awards at The Timber Yard.

The feedback from the team this morning has been glowing, with words like "inspiring", "feel-good" and "so much fun" featuring heavily! The stories shared on the night, the award recipients, the people in the room and the outstanding event management and attention to detail from the EWIT team all came together to create a truly memorable evening.

Supporting women in trades is a cause that matters deeply to our business and to the wider industry in Australia, and we’re proud to be part of this community.

Huge thank you to Mel and all the hardworking team at EWIT and to every guest at our table for making it such a special night.

We’re proud of our network of trades. We’re not perfect, and you can be sure that we hear about it when we get things wrong, but the feedback and reviews we receive every day also show us just how much great work our trades do. There are too many stories to share regularly, but it felt like the right time for this one, as we celebrate women in trades tonight with EWIT at their annual Gala Awards.

Supporting and working with EWIT as an alliance member matters to us on many levels, including growing our trade capacity, creating role models and pathways for future tradies, and building a workforce that better reflects the community we serve. It also comes down to a simple fact. Female tradies do an awesome job, and the reviews and feedback we receive are a testament to that.💪

Victoria’s Renting Taskforce is now permanent.

For property managers, that means active compliance monitoring is here to stay, while further rental-law requirements are approaching.

The practical question is: can you establish what applies, what’s been completed and what evidence is on file for every property?

From 13 October 2026, further requirements include two-yearly gas and electrical safety checks across all rental agreements and new record-keeping obligations around minimum rental standards.
