Through our partnership with Robbie Maddison at this year’s Finke Desert Race, we had the chance to hear him reflect on racing, fatherhood and what drives him.

For Robbie, becoming a dad didn’t mean leaving big dreams behind. It changed what they meant. His passion for racing is now part of what he hopes to pass on to his kids: resilience, determination and the belief that sometimes you have to dig a little deeper to get across the line.

At Hotondo Homes, we spend a lot of time thinking about what makes a house a home. Stories like Robbie’s are a pretty good answer. Family, support and knowing there are people behind you every step of the way.

An important update from us.

After many successful years as part of the Hotondo Homes network, Mat and Ben have made the decision to return to our own Ultimate Design & Build brand as we look ahead to the next chapter of our business.

For our clients, it’s very much business as usual.

We remain your builder and your main point of contact, with the same experienced team, build process, contracts, timelines and warranties continuing as they have always done. We’ve already been in touch with all of our current clients to explain the changes and what they mean for their individual projects.

For clients who pay their first preliminary fee before mid-September 2026, you can continue with your chosen Hotondo Homes design as planned.

We’re incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received throughout our time with Hotondo Homes and proud of the homes and relationships we’ve built along the way.

Now, we’re excited to bring that experience into the next chapter of Ultimate Design & Build and continue doing what we love - creating quality homes for our clients.
