Not much, really...

One belongs in a galaxy far, far away, one belongs in a workshop, and the other belongs in a collector's display case.

But they all share one important thing: **they were saved from landfill.**

Every day, interesting, useful, and sometimes valuable items are discarded simply because they are no longer wanted. With a little effort, these items can find new homes, new purposes, and new life.

Thinking of downsizing or decluttering? Before sending unwanted items to landfill, consider giving them a second life through donation.

Our team is passionate about reducing waste and finding new homes for quality goods. If you have larger items or a collection of goods, we have a van and may be able to come to you.

To help us make the most of every donation, please understand that not all items will meet our acceptance criteria. Donations are assessed based on their condition, saleability, safety, and current demand. Unfortunately, some items may need to be declined.

Another great reminder of why we do what we do.

Recently, we've been able to rescue some wonderful pieces that might otherwise have ended up in landfill, including a collection of collectible toy cars from the 1970s, a unique trophy with its own history, and a beautifully artisan-crafted furniture piece by Stefan Nechwatal.

Every item has a story, and every item saved is one less item wasted. It's always rewarding to see these treasures find new appreciation rather than being discarded.

Vintage Holden, Ford and Fiat windscreens available for a gold coin donation each.

We've had these stored for some time, but unfortunately there has been little to no interest and we need to reclaim the space. We'd much rather see them go to someone who can use them than send them to landfill.

If you're restoring a vehicle, know someone who is, or just want to save a piece of automotive history, now is your chance.

Reliable Columbus Fisher & Paykel mobility scooter for sale. This scooter has had only 2 owners and has always been garaged, helping keep it in very good condition.

When we put usable items out for hard waste, we sentence them to the landfill.

But when we donate for reuse, we fuel a circular economy that helps our community and protects the environment.

Next time you clear out the garage or spare room, skip the nature strip. Take a few extra minutes to drop usable items off at a local charity, or give them away to a neighbour who will love them.

Small changes in how we dispose of our things make a massive impact. Let's choose to reuse!

The ReUse Shop will operate on Friday through Sunday this weekend, diverting materials from landfills. Donations can be made via our slip lane; please locate a staff member before dropping off items, and our team will assess them accordingly.
