Caramilk is an acceptable lifelong diet, Friday knock-offs call for a LARGE glass of Shaw + Smith Sauv Blanc, annnnnnd she’s big on seeing an idea in a tangible form before she can confidently run with it.

For our clients, new and existing, Yon will be another familiar face along the way. Someone to help answer your calls, sit in on meetings, keep things moving behind the scenes and be part of the conversations as your project takes shape.

Episode one of Behind the Build takes us to Beaumont Tiles Studio in Norwood, where we’re making selections for a project very close to home: our own granny flat, being built for Mel’s parents.

And while choosing tiles, tapware and a very beautiful green basin is definitely the fun part, this appointment was also about making sure the space works for the people who’ll actually live in it.

Accessibility, fitting heights, handle choices, practicality. All the little decisions that can make a big difference to everyday life.

That’s what we want to show you with Behind the Build. Not just the finished home, but the people, decisions and details that go into getting there.

We recently finished our own alfresco, and not long after, it did exactly what we hoped it would...

A full table.
Friends over.
Kids moving about.
Pizza oven on.
Plenty of room for everyone to stay a little longer.

This is exactly what we think about when we’re building for other families too.
Creating space for the way life actually happens. For the messy, the clean, the fun, the chaos, and everything else that life throws at you.
