Anyone who has had our young 4th year apprentice Lachlan attend their properties knows the care and devotion he puts into every job. Well yesterday all that hard work paid off. Having been nominated for South Australia's Apprentice of the year award we attended the award ceremony in Adelaide among some of the biggest refrigeration and air conditioning companies in the state. Not only did Lachlan take home the 2026 Scholarship Award but he rounded off the evening with the prestigious Apprentice of the Year award. An Absolute cracker of an evening not only for Lachlan but also for everyone at Birchalls Air Conditioning. Nice to know that this little family run SA business can stand toe to toe with the big boys and come out on top.. Congrats mate we are all proud of you.

Tiny roof void to work in today. Finally made it to the unit and on the way out my head torch failed. Thankfully had my phone on me. Great little torch they make.

With the summer fast approaching we are starting to get customers Evaporative coolers serviced and ready for the heat to come. We have noticed more of these systems than normal, are starting to look like the picture below. This could be that we had a very dry summer last year or that there is a lot of both commercial and domestic building work locally but either way starting up your cooler in this condition is not good for the unit or you. If you would like to book a service call please give Julie a call on 0494397917

Wow cannot believe its been a a few weeks since I found our last little intruder but there he was this morning along side a system we were servicing. Thankfully no damage was done to the unit but I think this poor little guy may have ingested some bait along the way. As much as I hate removing them from damaged systems please if you are going to bait please make sure its with first generation baits that break down quickly in the body of the rodent and as such make them a safer bet for wild / domestic animals and birds that may eat them once dead.

One of our first Evaporative unit services ready for Summer 2026. With all the building work and construction going on around our southern suburbs I have a feeling that the condition of this one is going to be replicated a few times over this year. Unit full of mud and dust. New pads and a full clean out and shes ready to take on the summer heat. If your looking at getting your system checked please give Julie a call in the office on 0494397917 or myself 0405508462

We’re back! After a quick recharge on the Easter Islandwe’re straight into it again. Looks like SA turned on some warm weather while we were away — a good reminder that spring has arrived and the hot days aren’t far behind.

Now’s the perfect time to get your reverse‑cycle systems and evaporative units serviced and ready for summer.

To book your spring service, give Julie a call on 0494397917 or reach me on 0405508462. You can also message us right here on the page .
