Changing washers in your tap is a helpful way to stop a leak that won't budge. If you have ever wanted to give it a go, here are our steps to follow:
1. Make sure you turn off the water supply first! No one wants a face full of water.
2. Get your Tools (flat-head screwdriver, spanner, old cloth, packed of tap washers).
3. Cover the drain (in case you drop a screw).
4. Using a screwdriver, remove the tap cover so you can see and remove the valve.
5. The washer will be under the valve; replace the old one with a new tap washer.
6. Reassemble the valve and the tap cover as it was; careful not to overtighten!
