We started with nothing - no savings, no equipment, no trailer, sh** bomb cars & a sh** rental.
What we had was Chris's experience in the epoxy commercial industry from NSW, our managerial skills, our customer service skills, our work ethic, our entrepreneur dream and our drive to build the future we want.
We had a 7 month old & a 2 yr old.
We woke up on a whim, created a business name & logo, registered an abn, made some flyers, created socials, applied for creditation, licensing, insurance and got to work finding our first job with a 9 inch grinder from bunnings .
A garage. The first to believe in us.
Now its full swing of CNRC or nothing. We went all in, and we went without to get ontop.
We made mistakes, we learnt, we accepted and we grew and grew stronger.
We had eachother to back, one hundred percent the whole way. We support each other no matter the lows and highs. We have made sacrifices and have gained wins.
We have had sleepless nights, added multiple hats to our resumes. All to gain the credentials and respect of a community in the industry of a tradesman.
No body talks about what it takes to go from nothing, to success and the preasure to hold the line and continue.
Along the way , we have learnt so much beyond measures. The epoxy industry isn't for the faint hearted, you must expect major losses and fails to be ontop. With out these, the rewards and successes wouldn't be worth it. The only way to truly learn the industry is you must fail at times to succeed. Say yes to the projects and back yourself.
We have learnt how hard the business owner industry is- we grew enormous respect for business owners of all sorts for the endless nights, family sacrifices and how all of a sudden you dont seem to be treated the same way as everyone else.
We near 5 years in business (Jan 2027) - our first business. When we started we said let's make our goal, to last 5yrs and see where we are.
Well.... we are beyond proud to say we think its safe to upgrade our next goal for 10yrs in business.
We are here for the epoxy industry for the life style - we care for your home and project like its our own and we care for this industry. We treat you like our family which we only hope for in return.
Tradesman industry is a forever learning environment. We will see and experience new things, learn new things, hear new things, trial new things, make mistakes, accept mistakes and rectify how ever possible- No matter how many years you have under your belt. The opportunities are endless and we are only getting started .
Whats not spoken about is the Mental health, the expectations, the roles to play , tradie, father, mother, wife, husband, friend, son, daughter, sister, brother, neighbour, stranger.
Got to work harder, got to be more present, got to fix the deck, got to go to 15 quotes today and make it back for your daughters performance or your sons game.
Its physical and mental for both men and women in the business industry.
Whats harder is your not viewed as a human anymore but as a working machine.
Perform, turn up at 6am leave at 6pm- answer phone at 9pm and work on sunday. Don't take holidays, because their family is more important then your own.
Work 30 days straight until all the jobs are done cause no one else will for you, it's your name on the line, along with the years of hard work.
Dont make humanly mistakes or you get crucified, dont admit default and give return cause you'll still get crucified, don't take a sick day, don't reschedule, dont turn the job down for the gut feeling or if it does not bring the correct value to your family and business lifestyle, you'll get crucified.
With all the hard work that goes in , What really makes it worth it is when clients love their finished projects/products and we love what we do. When the family balance is correct and rest is not a luxury. When the reward matches the quality work and time given.
