Most people start with the colour.

But the material is the decision that really determines how the roof will perform and age.

Colorbond steel - painted steel with the widest range of colours and strong value per square metre. It’s the go-to choice for most Sydney homes.

Zincalume - steel coated with aluminium and zinc, generally left unpainted. It starts with a bright mill finish and naturally weathers over time, making it a common choice for industrial and commercial projects.

Copper - a soft metal with an exceptionally long service life. Instead of simply deteriorating, it develops a natural patina, which is why it works so well on heritage and architectural projects.

Aluminium - lightweight, corrosion-resistant and well suited to coastal environments. We typically use it for standing seam roofs, particularly on architectural and coastal projects.

We install all four.

Because there’s no single material that’s right for every building. The right choice depends on the site, the architecture, the environment and how you want it to age.

The certifications might be the boring part of the business, but they’re also what gets you through the gate on projects like this.

We’re MRCAA award-winning, with MBA, HIA and CM3 certifications, along with height safety certification. Sydney-based and operating since 2010.

This project is a government LAHC centre in Parramatta, finished in Speed Deck 700 with Sharpline Direct wall cladding.

Work at this level doesn’t go to whoever is cheapest. It goes to the contractor who can meet the compliance requirements, produce the paperwork, and then deliver the same standard on site.

That’s what matters when the job has to be done properly.

Most houses have a clear line where the roof stops and the walls begin.

This one doesn’t.

In Rose Bay, we ran Lysaght Longline 305 across the roof and continued the same profile down onto the walls as architectural cladding.

One material. One direction. No visual break.

It takes more time to set out and demands a lot more precision, but the result is worth it. The building reads as one continuous form rather than a box with a roof sitting on top.

That’s the difference when roof and cladding are treated as one system, not two separate trades.

Anyone can run a straight sheet down a simple gable. The hips are where the workmanship shows.

Where two roof planes meet, every seam has to line up, every mitre has to close cleanly, and the finish has to stand on its own without relying on sealant to hide the details.

Get it wrong, and you’ll see it from the street for the next forty years.

This one is PREFA aluminium standing seam in Enmore, finished with concealed fixings throughout. Aluminium won’t rust, which makes it a natural choice for projects where longevity and clean detailing matter.

Don’t just look at the roof. Look at the junctions.

That’s where you judge a roofer.
