A CHALLENGING JOB with a GREAT OUTCOME to finish the year! Our regular clients at The Happy Snack Company needed to have the flaking paint removed from the walls in their processing area and the walls re-painted to avoid any contamination in the area. This required our FLOORTEC team to bring in specialised mobile scaffolding to work around the covered up equipment and wall fixtures. We needed to practice dustless removal of the flaking paint, patch and repair cracks and repaint the walls. The pictures here show how we worked around the equipment in the 2 different types of scaffold to achieve the result. WELL DONE TEAM!

Whilst our Floortec page has been a little quiet of late, it is quite the opposite in reality for our day to day operations..... YES, it has been an extremely busy time of late (everyone seems to be renovating!) and, it's not only Garage Floors but the requests for Commercial Shed floor refurbishment has been just as popular as the demand for Garage Floor upgrades. The last 2 months has seen one of our teams working at Noosaville at the new Lionel Donovan Drive, Business Park where we have completed 5 Shed floor coatings and now at the Leo Alley Centre where we have completed 3 with another 4 sheds booked to start in the area.

CONCRETE COATINGS THAT LAST. That's what we aim to provide. A good example of this was witnessed when we visited a previous Client at Tin Can Bay this week. They had their Garage Floor resurfaced with our Epoxy/Resin in the color "Black Granite" in January this year and the coating still looks great now. (pics below show, after the job was finished in January and the current look) They are now interested in having their Driveway Resurfaced early next year to enhance the external entrance to their home.

MANAGING DUST COLLECTION is a major part of the process when Grinding Concrete which is part of the preparation we undertake before our specialised Coatings are applied. The "Redback" Grinder together with the Husqvarna Dust Filtration and Capture system ensures a clean job and dust free environment. 8 large bags of dust were collected for careful disposal at this Noosaville job, in one of the Sheds we are now working on.

QFES (Qld Fire & Emergency Services) gets special Epoxy Coating for their Rainbow Beach station. Here at Floortec, we not only do Garage Floor coatings, we do a lot of jobs for the Qld Government, mainly in Schools and Fire and Ambulance Stations. A Special Hychem product is used for this purpose undertaking a 5 different coating layer process to complete the job. This is an "Approved" system with the CSIRO/PCCP...and.... To ensure compliance, Floortec is an Accredited applicator undergoing bi-annual Audits by the CSIRO to retain this Certification.

Another "Man Shed" refurbished and looking great! This ordinary looking shed at Noosaville came up a treat after we applied our Seamless Epoxy coating in "Seashell". Looks good enough to live in now! Notice the detail finish around the skirting and joins. This is how we finish all jobs for our FLOORTEC customers. Pics here show "Before" and "After" we carried out the 4 stage process of Grinding to remove all contaminants, patching cracks, application of the base coat, then the chosen colored flake, and finally 2 seal coats. A job made to last 👍

We are Stocked to the Rafters and "Ready to go" for the start of the new financial year. With the current demand for FLOOR & CONCRETE COATING services and the delays in sourcing products due to effect of Covid and delays in supply, its been necessary to buy in bulk to ensure we have sufficient stock and products to service the already booked jobs and future jobs for clients. A Big "Thank You" to two suppliers Concrete and Flooring Solutions QLD and Hychem for their assistance in getting some orders filled.

FLOORTEC is an Accredited Applicator with the CSIRO/PCCP which allows us to undertake projects for the Qld Govt & Local Govt using APAS "approved" products. So at this time of year we are kept busy with jobs at State Schools. The pics here are of a challenging job at Northgate S/School today involving the refurbishment of Stairs. In this case an Anti-Slip "Stone-grip" in the "Opal" color was the chosen finish, with a Light Grey base coat & 2 top coats of Hychem PA Glaze. Pics show 1. the finished look: 2. Not all jobs we do here at Floortec are pleasing to the eye...well, at least not to start with! BIG JOBS...SMALL JOBS...We do "All Epoxy Jobs. Including, Workshops, Industrial Spaces, Cafe Kitchens, Amenity blocks, Hallways, Laundries, Storage Sheds, to name a few. Here are some pictures of a few "Not so Beautiful" completed over the past couple of months.

Due to the unseasonal rainy weather in May, we would like to say a big "thank you" to all those Clients who patiently waited to have their jobs completed due to the constant treat of rain. In particular, to our Clients at Woombye who's driveway refurbishment job had to be rescheduled numerous times while we waited for a run a nice sunny days. The product used is the Shieldcoat "Stencilshield" in a Charcoal colored Base with Night Sky Fleck (see the close up pic for the detail). It seems the waiting was well worth it, as they now have an impressive new look entrance to their lovely home.
