Here’s a wrap-up of some of the unreal builds we spotted around the Melbourne 4x4 Show this year. 👀💪🏼

One of the best parts of these shows is seeing what everyone has built. Different ideas, different styles and plenty of seriously well thought-out setups.

You can tell how much time, effort, passion and love has gone into some of these rigs, and that’s what the 4x4 community is all about.

From clean tourers to full-blown builds, there was definitely no shortage of inspiration walking around Melbourne this weekend.

Day 3 is done and the 2026 Melbourne National 4x4 Outdoors Show is officially in the books! 🙌🏼

A massive thank you to everyone who came down to Stand B200 over the weekend, said g’day, checked out the setups, had a chat with the team and took home some of The Bush Company gear. We seriously appreciate the support. 🤙🏼

It was awesome seeing so many familiar faces and meeting plenty of new ones too.

Ineos Grenadier Trialmaster, only 350Km on the clock in the final stages of an awesome build.

From the state of the art JMACX Offroad Solutions Alpha suspension system to the Concept Canopies fit out, there’s a different level of thought in the selection of upgrades and the overall ethos of the vehicle.

We fitted the 1.6m wide TX27 MAX Hardshell Rooftop Tent along with the 12sqm 270 XT MAX Awning and the Outhouse Shower Tent, making this one of the most complete touring rigs in Australia.

300 SERIES OWNERS 👀

If you’ve been wondering how a 270XT MAX awning works on a 300 Series, here’s a setup worth checking out.

This build features a Bush Company rooftop tent paired with a 270XT MAX awning, giving the customer a practical touring setup that’s built for weekends away or extended trips.

One of the biggest questions we get is how the awning works around the rear of the vehicle. As you can see, the 270XT MAX is designed to provide excellent coverage while still working seamlessly with the 300 Series.

200 SERIES OWNERS 👀 Here’s one we get asked about all the time…

How does the 270XT work with the rear door?

This 200 Series came to us already fitted with an ARB Base Rack, so we utilised the existing rack and the ARB Base Rack bridging plates to mount an AX27 rooftop tent with a 270XT awning.

The result is a clean setup that retains the existing Base Rack while pairing it with the AX27 and 270XT, with the awning positioned to work around the 200 Series rear door.
