We LOVE looking after big trees.
This prominent e. Cladocalyx (Sugar Gum) is back in control and now poses a significantly reduced risk of continued self-pruning failures.
We eliminated all cross-overs, performed end-weight reduction to overextended laterals, reduced epicormic growth through the entire crown and trained the upper crown a little away from the house, rendering it much safer for many years to come.
This tree will likely not need to see us for 5 years at least, judging by the past 22 years in the industry, and the works we did falls under a 30%maintenance prune schedule, permissible every 5 years.
This prune, done to Australian Standards (AS4373) is the preferred and healthiest way to achieve a healthy, safe tree, as opposed to the well outdated method of “topping”, which 99% of the time creates more hazardous problems, and needs much more maintenance.
Great result in Murray Bridge 😊
