Yesterday’s safe route could be today’s closed taxiway. ✈️🚧
During runway, taxiway and apron works, routes change, and so do the risks.
This Airport Safety Week, we’re focusing on the basics: plan together, brief every shift and stop safely to confirm when something isn’t clear.
What’s the first thing you check before starting your airside shift?

It's Airport Safety Week, and this year's theme is Your Influence Matters.
When our crews work on a runway or an apron, they share the airfield with airport staff, airlines, ground handlers and other contractors. Everyone out there picks up habits from the people around them.

This week we're asking our people to do two things: speak up when something doesn't look right, and say thanks when someone speaks up to you.

Know someone who works airside? Tag them and tell us the best safety habit you've learned from a workmate.

R U OK? isn’t just for one day. It's a question for any day.

Checking in on a mate, a neighbour, or a colleague can be as simple as noticing they've gone quiet and asking how they're really doing. Even so, 1 in 4 people hold back from asking, even when they think someone's struggling. Showing up matters more than finding the right words. Ask, listen, and stick around for the answer.

If you're wondering how to start, R U OK? has practical guidance at ruok.org.au.

"One of the best training opportunities of my asphalt career"

Emerging leaders from across Colas Oceania spent last week in Adelaide building their leadership and project management skills, as part of our very first Colas Uni program.

Program sessions covered scope definition, risk management, cost control, continuous improvement, and communication, alongside plenty of time to connect with colleagues and mangement from other parts of the business.

Congratulations to the whole cohort πŸ‘ This is the first of many Colas Uni programs to come.
