Our History

Vassallo Constructions was established in 1995 by a team of four brothers, Victor, Joseph, Peter and Michael Vassallo. Over the years they have bought this local, family run business to the forefront of construction in the Mackay and surrounding regions. Our Values

Vassallo Constructions is officially a corporate partner of the Mackay Marina Run — one of Australia’s must do running events and Queensland’s most scenic course, set against incredible blue waters and sub tropical scenery 🌊🌞.
The run also raises much needed funds for the Leukaemia Foundation, supporting Australians living with blood cancer 💙🩸

We’re thrilled to get behind an event that combines community spirit, breathtaking views, and a powerful cause.

We’re proud to continue our long-standing support of the Leukaemia Foundation through the Mackay Marina Run 🏃 🏃‍♀️

The Vassallo team was out in force to take part in this fantastic community event and 2025 was no exception.

It’s always a great opportunity to get involved and stay active. Even better, it’s a chance to connect and socialise with colleagues outside of work in a fun, relaxed setting.

Do you know about YP - Young Professionals Mackay?

Vassallo Constructions is a proud long-standing sponsor of this organisation which is run entirely by volunteers and has one of our directors, Damian, who sits on the committee (he claims to be young at heart).

Yesterday, YP hosted a fantastic Q & A session with NRL legend Brent Tate, who covered all topics from leadership to discipline on the playing field and how this converts to professional careers; and the importance of making your bed in the morning.

If you haven’t been to a YP event, follow their page. Vassallo’s encourages you to come along to one of the monthly coffee catchups, social drinks or events. It’s a great way to make new connections, particularly if you are new to the region, and there are always plenty of first-time attendees, so you won’t be alone.

Our team attended the Master Builders Queensland 2024 Housing & Construction Awards last weekend and were honoured to take home the award for Tourism and Leisure Facilities under $10M for our Seaforth Esplanade Reserve Redevelopment project.

Vassallo Constructions is pleased to continue our longstanding relationship with the Mackay Airport to deliver this exciting new precinct.

It was a pleasure to host our local industry partners at our office last night. We enjoyed a fantastic turnout from a diverse group of industry professionals, who joined us to socialise outside of work.

The event also served as a formal acknowledgment of the change in ownership for the Vassallo Group.

Since the mid-90s, Vassallo’s has maintained the same recognisable logo and branding. To reflect the ‘passing of the baton,’ we were also excited to unveil the new Vassallo branding to our community.

Well done to our Mackay Marina Run teams who completed the 5km Corporate Challenge on Sunday morning! 🏃🏃‍♀️🏅

This last weekend a group of eighteen enthusiastic (but largely inexperienced 😊) bushwalkers set off on a 16K return hike to Mt Dalrymple to raise funds for their favourite charity.
Brendan Vassallo and Evelyn Vassallo represented Vassallo Constructions on the walk and raised $2050 for Multiple Sclerosis Australia. In all, over $12,000 was raised for charity.
Whilst the cloud cover at the top didn’t allow for any stunning photos (for reference, we’ve included a photo of what it should have looked like), it was well worth the trip.
