Keep yourself and your family safe this summer! Follow these handy tips to ensure your pool area is electrically safe:
💧 Never use extension leads, electrical appliances or cords near the pool and make sure they are located where they can’t contact, fall, or slide into the water.
💧 Ensure pool pumps, underwater lighting and fixed electrical appliances are correctly installed and comply with current AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules
💧 Ensure the electrical circuit supplying the equipment has a safety switch, and it is. tested regularly.
💧 Ensure you use and maintain pool pumps and other electrical equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
💧 If the electrical equipment is damaged or becomes faulty, contact a licensed electrician to repair or replace it.
