What started as a simple fault-finding job quickly turned into a serious safety concern.

After testing the switchboard, we discovered the main switch wasn’t even doing anything! The previous owner had wired in their own generator changeover switch and completely bypassed the main switch altogether.

This made the entire electrical installation extremely unsafe and could’ve ended in disaster.

This just goes to show how important it is to test and verify every single circuit, no matter how straightforward the job seems.

In the end, we installed new safety switches and completely rewired the switchboard, bringing everything back up to standard and making the home safe again.
