Chilled water system under pressure and complete at the Cochlear Freedom building in Brisbane.

The GAP Industries team has completed the mechanical HVAC works, including the installation of a new chilled water system, Mitsubishi VRF air-conditioning and a dedicated ventilation system.

Together, these systems will provide a comfortable working environment for the team carrying out critical work on Cochlear hearing implants, while also helping maintain consistent temperatures and support the longevity of equipment throughout the workspace.

The project is now ready for the finishing touches, with insulation and metal cladding still to come.

From chilled water systems and air-conditioning through to ventilation and comissioning, this project highlights GAP Industries’ capability across commercial HVAC and mechanical services.

GAP Industries is looking for a motivated Electrical Apprentice to join our South East Queensland team.

You’ll receive hands-on training and support while assisting with electrical installations and service works across a range of projects.

Requirements:
• Current QLD manual driver’s licence
• Construction White Card
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to safety and quality

A Certificate II in Electrotechnology would be highly regarded.
