Thankyou to the Goldings for entrusting us with the design of their dream home at Victor Harbor. We started this project back in March 2022, with design development taking about twelve months. A number of different concepts were assessed before settling on the final design. The site has expansive ocean views out to Granite Island and The Bluff. Our design maximises these views while also meeting all the other key requirements of the clients. Some of the key features are ocean views from all bedrooms, a raked timber ceiling in the upper living area, a protected lower alfresco area to the rear, plenty of internal storage and high levels of insulation/double glazing to promote energy efficiency. The incorporation of a lift allows easy access between levels. 4Life Constructions have done a great job, completing construction earlier this year. External photos to follow.

It was great to work with a client passionate about achieving a well designed, highly energy efficient family home.
The 7.7 star energy efficient rating was achieved by incorporating passive solar design principles which works on the principle of maximising heat gain in winter and providing shading in summer.
The outcome is a house that is naturally warmer in winter and cooler in summer, reducing the need for heating & cooling.
It was constructed using mainly lightweight materials other than the feature brick internal walls/sealed concrete floor, high levels of insulation and double glazing.

The Weathergroove Woodsman woodgrain panels portray the uniqueness of natural timber trees. This darker colour is a fantastic feature.

This is a great project that shows the range of Weathertex products that are available.
Australian owned and manufactured with a better than zero carbon footprint.

Design is limited only by your imagination. Creation Homes used a variety of Weathertex products on this project in Everton Park Qld, including Weathergroove 150 smooth, Rubix, Selflok Ecogroove 150 Natural, Selflok Ecogroove 300 Smooth and Classic 200 Smooth Weatherboards .

The combination of the face brickwork, rendered walls, projecting flat verandah and timber eave linings create a very attractive finish.
