We’re excited to share that Kahlia has been named as one of the finalists for the Master Plumbers Queensland Fourth Year Apprentice of the Year award.

Although Kahlia is now a qualified plumber and no longer an apprentice, she completed her apprenticeship earlier this year. That’s why she is being recognised in the Fourth Year Apprentice category.

We’re incredibly proud of Kahlia and all the hard work, dedication and determination she has shown throughout her apprenticeship. This recognition is a fantastic achievement and well deserved.

Congratulations, Kahlia!

Notice from Double Tap Plumbing & Drainage
Hello everyone,
Unfortunately we can no longer absorb the current fuel costs. We held off as long as we could, hoping prices would ease.
From Monday 21 September, our call-out fee along with our hourly rates will increase by $5.
We’ve kept the increase as small as possible. Thank you for your understanding

— we hope fuel prices come down soon.

We are back from our holiday and jumping straight back into the swing of things. If you have any unanswered messages, I will do my best to get to them today as tomorrow is my day off with our little Nelly.

Thank you all for your understanding and patience for the last couple of weeks with limited/ slow replies.

01/09/2026

Our business hours will be extremely limited again this week, returning to normal operation Tuesday 8th September. We will respond to calls, enquiries and messages as soon as we can.

We are also fully booked the week we return (next available appointment will be Monday 14th September) at this stage. So if you want or need us for any plumbing, please reach out to book in sooner than later! 🙂

Also, please keep in mind, we’ve recently changed to ServiceM8 after using Tradify for the past 3+ years, so we do have a new “contact us” form. I will continue to monitor Tradify but it will not be very regularly.
