August has been another highly successful month across Carrabay, with strong progress being made across our operations.

 Projects progressing ahead of schedule. Positive feedback from our clients. And, most importantly, our people continuing to exceed expectations.

Across our facilities and project teams, the focus remains the same delivering quality, maintaining high standards and building strong, long-term relationships with the clients and partners we work alongside.

The momentum across Carrabay continues to build, supported by a growing pipeline of work and an exceptional team driving our projects forward every day.

August has set another strong benchmark and with what we have secured and currently have in development, September is shaping up to be even bigger.

NSW is ramping up.

With workload continuing to flow through our Lansvale facility, we’ve secured a number of exciting projects with some exceptional clients and are continuing to build on the strong relationships behind them.

Our white-collar team is also growing, adding further experience and capability as Carrabay continues to scale across NSW.
Ultimately, our growth comes down to the people behind the business — the teams on the floor, in the office and on site who continue to deliver the standard Carrabay is becoming known for.

We’re pleased to announce the appointment of James Kelly as our SA Senior Project Manager.

James brings extensive commercial, project, and leadership experience to the Carrabay team, with a strong track record delivering complex projects and leading significant business transformation initiatives.
Most recently, James was in the final stages of delivering a complex, whole-of-business transformation project valued at almost $50 million, following a career spanning senior management and project leadership roles across the construction, manufacturing, and business sectors.
He also brings significant experience from his time leading a major Adelaide-based precast operation, giving him a strong understanding of the South Australian construction industry, as well as the commercial, operational and delivery challenges involved in large-scale projects.

A highly qualified project and commercial professional, James holds an MBA and Master of Project Management from UniSA and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Having also studied at the University of Adelaide, James brings strong local knowledge and connections, alongside his extensive commercial experience.

His highly developed business acumen and ability to confidently navigate contracts, budgets, clients, and suppliers will be a valuable addition to our growing South Australian operations.

Our Director described James’s appointment as “a pivotal appointment for the business in South Australia”, particularly as Carrabay continues to build momentum across several significant opportunities in the state.
We’re excited to have James on board and look forward to the experience, leadership, and capability he will bring as Carrabay continues to grow across South Australia.

At Carrabay, we believe that mental health is just as important as physical health.

This week, our entire Wingfield team proudly participated in MATES in Construction General Awareness Training (G*T), reinforcing our commitment to creating a workplace where looking after one another is part of our everyday culture.

The training provided our team with practical knowledge to recognise when a mate might be doing it tough, start meaningful conversations, and understand the importance of speaking up. In our industry, looking out for each other extends beyond the job site it means supporting the wellbeing of every person we work alongside.

A strong team is built on more than skill and hard work. It’s built on respect, support, and the confidence to know that no one has to face challenges alone.

A big thank you to MATES in Construction for delivering such an important session and helping us continue to foster a safe, supportive, and mentally healthy workplace.

July Recap

What a month July has been at Carrabay!

We wrapped up a successful month by bringing our NSW team together for a fantastic spit roast BBQ at our Lansvale facility a great way to celebrate the hard work, commitment, and achievements of the team.

Over in Adelaide, July was just as busy with a number of staff BBQs and team gatherings. We were pleased to welcome the team from Mates in Construction for an insightful BBQ and session, reinforcing the importance of supporting mental health and wellbeing across our industry.

We also had the privilege of hosting Jon Whelan, Paula Newman and Scott Cooper from the Department for Infrastructure and Transport South Australia, alongside members of the T2D Project team. It was a valuable opportunity to showcase our capabilities, strengthen industry relationships, and discuss the exciting projects shaping South Australia’s future.

Most importantly, we’d like to congratulate our Employees of the Month. Your dedication, positive attitude and commitment to excellence continue to make a real difference across our business. Thank you for everything you do.

It was fantastic to have our Senior Estimator, Mo Aly, visit our Wingfield facility in Adelaide this week.

Over the past three years, Mo has been an integral part of the Carrabay team. His dedication, loyalty, professionalism and hard work have played a significant role in our growth, and he has been there to witness the company’s journey every step of the way.

While we’re sad to see Mo move on, we’re incredibly grateful for everything he has contributed to Carrabay. His commitment, expertise and positive attitude have left a lasting impact on our team, and we know he’ll continue to achieve great things in the next chapter of his career.

Major Project – Adelaide Road Decks

Carrabay continues to make strong progress delivering large-scale road deck works in Adelaide.

* Over 1,200 tonnes of prefabricated reinforcement cages delivered to date
* Quality control maintained to the highest standard, with all cages meeting strict inspection requirements
* Consistent productivity achieved, with daily and weekly targets being met across production
* A strong, safety-focused workforce driving performance without compromising quality
