Before after and during for a Complete replacement of this outdated and overgrown garden bed.
Although a cottage garden would suit the heritage of the house The customer was after something with less maintenance so we went with natives and some grasses.

The existing soil was lifeless and nutrient-deficient, so it was thoroughly cultivated to break up compaction.
Dynamic Lifter, premium garden mix and sand were then incorporated to restore nutrients, improve soil structure, drainage and aeration, creating healthier conditions for strong root development.

A Maintenance program was also given to the customer for the best longevity and health of the plants. 🌱

Today we successfully transplanted this young oak, approximately 2–3 metres tall.

The tree was lifted with the majority of its root system intact. Although some minor root disturbance is unavoidable during transplanting, root damage was kept to a minimum. The planting hole was backfilled using a combination of the original site soil and premium garden mix to support establishment while maintaining compatibility with the surrounding soil.

Only a few small, damaged lower limbs were removed. We deliberately avoided unnecessary canopy reduction. The traditional practice of heavily pruning branches to “balance” root loss is generally not required and can place the tree under further stress by removing valuable leaf and energy-producing capacity needed for recovery.

Late winter, just before spring growth and leaf development, is an ideal time to transplant deciduous trees such as oaks. While dormant, the tree loses less moisture through its canopy and has an opportunity to begin establishing new roots before warmer conditions arrive.

The customer was advised to water thoroughly once daily during the initial establishment period, adjusting for rainfall and soil moisture, and to apply Seasol weekly at the recommended label rate to assist with transplant stress and early root development. 🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳First part of photos is removal from original spot back fill and clean area , second part is dig hole in designated area and plant tree
