Pluim Joinery is proud to have been recognised as the 2026 Master Builders Association of NSW – Newcastle Excellence in Building Awards Winner for Interior & Shop Fit-outs ($400,000–$1 Million) for the University of Newcastle Central Coast Campus.

Working within an architecturally striking environment of engineered timber, glass and bold architectural forms, our team delivered an extensive package of bespoke commercial joinery throughout the campus — from feature seating and study spaces to detailed wall panelling, cabinetry, workstations and collaborative areas.

Every element was carefully considered, manufactured and installed to complement the building’s sophisticated architectural language while creating functional spaces for students, staff and the wider community.

Bespoke Kitchen Island

A sculptural centrepiece where bespoke joinery meets exceptional stonework.

The island features a custom integrated 900 × 500 × 500mm profiled stone sink, framed with intricate stone feature mouldings and beautifully detailed profiled polyurethane wainscoted cabinetry.

Finished in Natural Arabescato Violetta honed stone, the island is elevated by a distinctive 80mm feature bullnose profile, creating a refined, architectural edge that celebrates the natural movement and veining of the stone.

Every curve, profile and junction has been considered to create a truly bespoke statement piece.

The Cantilevered custom ensuite joinery seamlessly integrates generous storage with bespoke mirror cabinetry, creating a refined architectural statement.

Crafted in random-matched American White Oak Veneer, paired with solid Oak custom scalloped timber handles and striking Pietra Nautica Limestone.

Natural textures, considered detailing and exceptional craftsmanship — designed to make everyday spaces feel extraordinary.

Designed as one continuous architectural element, this bespoke Bedroom, Study and Wardrobe showcases beautifully crafted curved joinery in random-matched American White Oak veneer.

Curved grain-matched detailing flows seamlessly through the custom wardrobe, integrated work desk and floating shelving, complemented by feature dowel legs, concealed LED lighting and solid timber reverse-scalloped handles. Every element has been meticulously detailed to transition effortlessly into the solid oak entry jambs and door surrounds, creating a warm, refined and cohesive space where craftsmanship is evident from every angle.

Progress Update | 55% Complete 🚧

We're proud to be 55% complete on the custom joinery package at The STORE Residential.

With installation now reaching Level 18 of the East Tower and Level 14 of the West Tower, the project continues to take shape. From premium kitchens to detailed architectural finishes, it's rewarding to see months of planning, precision and craftsmanship come to life.

Delivered in conjunction with the outstanding teams at DOMA and BLOC, this landmark development is a true collaborative effort, and we're proud to play our part in bringing the vision to life.

A huge thank you to everyone involved—we're looking forward to seeing the remaining stages completed.

American Oak shelving, smoked mirror splashbacks, and seamlessly integrated LED lighting complete a sophisticated entertaining space that is as practical as it is visually impressive.
