Congratulations to Team Shaw 👏🏃‍♂️

Last weekend, 15 Shaw employees and family members took part in the McGrath Launceston Running Festival, tackling everything from the 5km through to the half marathon.

There were personal bests, comebacks, first-time runners and plenty of determination on display throughout the day. Most importantly, there were lots of smiles at the finish line and a great sense of achievement all round.

A big congratulations to everyone who took part and represented Shaw. We're proud to support initiatives that encourage wellbeing, staying active and having fun together.

We might even have a few runners already planning their return next year!

🏃‍♂️ Team Shaw is getting ready for the Launceston Running Festival 👏

Some of our crew from the SWISA irrigation project recently received their Shaw running shirts and are gearing up for race day on Sunday 31 May.

We’ve got team members and families taking on everything from the 5km through to the half marathon — all as part of Shaw’s focus on wellbeing, staying active and having a bit of fun together.

Best of luck to everyone taking part. We can’t wait to see Team Shaw out there representing on the day 💪

Big digs, tight spaces and one very large concrete lid 👏

The Shaw team has officially wrapped up works at TasWater’s Selfs Point Sewer Transformation project.

Working within a busy construction site meant the crew had to navigate deep excavations, groundwater, restricted access and multiple work fronts, all while keeping the project moving safely and efficiently.

One of the biggest highlights was lifting the huge precast pump station lid into place - definitely a “stand back and watch this carefully” kind of moment.

A massive effort from the whole team and a great result on a complex project. Well done everyone - TasWater, UGL Limited and CPB Contractors👷‍♂️👏

Fine wine, fast bikes and a bit of sand in your boots 🏍️🍷

Shaw was proud to support the Spoke Motorcycle Festival at Mayfield Estate on Tasmania’s east coast — a unique event that brings together live music, camping, and some seriously impressive motorcycle action.

From record race entries to a packed crowd, this year’s event was one of the biggest yet. A highlight? The beach races — head-to-head action, plenty of adrenaline, and a very enthusiastic crowd.

Behind the scenes, our team helped keep things running smoothly by supporting the event with infrastructure, power and safety barriers.

A fantastic weekend and a great example of community, culture and connection in action.

Harmony Week at Shaw 🧡

Across our sites, workshops and offices, our teams came together to celebrate Harmony Week with BBQs, shared lunches and plenty of good conversation.

It was great to see people bringing a bit of their culture to the table and taking the time to connect with each other.

At Shaw, we’re proud of the diversity across our teams — and the role it plays in making this a positive, inclusive place to work.

We were proud to welcome the students from Sassafras Primary School on site at SWISA 👏

It was a fantastic day giving the students a look at how projects like this are built, why safety is so important, and the many different careers involved in delivering infrastructure. The students kept the team on their toes with some great questions throughout the day.

A big thank you to their teacher, Ann-Maree, and the school for visiting. We always enjoy opportunities to inspire the next generation and share what our industry is all about.

Supporting the next generation at Carrick 👏🐴

Shaw was proud to sponsor the Mini Trots at the Carrick Park Pacing Club on 8 March, with 11 young drivers taking to the track as part of the Carrick Park Cup.

It was fantastic to see so many kids getting involved, building confidence and enjoying the experience — all backed by a great local crowd.

We’re proud to support community events like this that bring people together and help foster the next generation of talent.

Well done to all participants and their ponies for putting on a great show.
