Today we celebrated Simon on his last day at AWM Launceston, after more than 20 years of helping keep Electrical Edge supplied.

Simon has been there since we started the business, so he’s been a familiar helpful face throughout our entire Electrical Edge journey.

For a while, Simon also lived nearby and would occasionally deliver gear to us after work, earning himself the affectionate title of “The Galvin Street Courier.”

And, appropriately, Simon finally received our Bright Spark Trophy today, an award he actually won back in 2024! Better late than never! 🏆

From all of us at Electrical Edge, congratulations on your retirement, Simon! We wish you the best for this next chapter.

Turns out sparkies don't always get the clean jobs.

This week saw Ryan, Declen, Joe and Tom installing underground services at a rural property, with plenty of mud and a few frosty starts along the way.

Fortunately, Rustic Bakehouse was nearby for a well-earned smoko break.

Twice a year we try to get everyone together away from the job sites and switchboards. We hit ‘The Range’ for some food, laughs and a bit of friendly competition.

Of course, the evening also included the presentation of the Bright Spark Award 🏆 — now in its 11th year and still one of the most sought after (or avoided!) awards in the business.
