Saturday marked the start of National Reconciliation Week, which runs through to the 3rd of June 2023.

The theme for 2023 is, “Be a Voice for Generations”. The theme encourages all Australians to be a voice for reconciliation in tangible ways in our everyday lives – where we live, work and socialise.

Be a voice for listening. Be a voice for unity. Be a voice for fairness. Be a voice for learning. Be a voice for action.

Works continue to progress on schedule at ALLROADS’ Cowper Avenue, Eagleby Master Drainage Works for Logan City Council, with the next stage of the 2400 diameter pipes coming together nicely.

At the end of last week, the team reached the centre Manhole in Cowper Avenue, with the culvert works in Sirus Street scheduled for the second base slab pour today. Great work team!

Congratulations to Jamie Zaklan who was recognised for his ongoing commitment to Safety Excellence on ALLROADS’ Brisbane Metro - Rochedale Depot Civil Works subcontract for ADCO Constructions.

Jaime has continually excelled whilst spotting and directing truck movements throughout site and as such is a well deserving recipient of this award and gift voucher from Site Supervisor, Paul Cains.

The talented team on our New England Highway Upgrade Project have reached another milestone, having recently installed 16 Units of 2100x2100 Box Culverts using a 100t Crane.

The installation of these culverts is a significant achievement due to the amount of work that was required to get to this point including the demolition and excavation of the existing culvert and building a side-track using over 4,000m3 of materials. Not to mention continually battling against major weather events!

ALLROADS are on the homestretch now of this major infrastructure upgrade project with other works being undertaken on the path to finalisation including earthworks, profiling, sealing and landscaping works.

With the theme of this years’ International Woman’s Day being , we thought what better time to announce the recent arrival of our newest Apprentice – Diesel Fitter, Mackenzie Parkinson.

Mackenzie joined our workshop team just before Christmas and is enjoying learning new skills and capability in a field that has traditionally had lower levels of female participation. A special shout out too to Loretta from Mas Experience for arranging it all.

Works are in full swing on ALLROADS’ Cowper Avenue, Eagleby Master Drainage Works for Logan City Council. The culvert base slab construction is well underway, and the 2400 diameter pipe installation is progressing at a steady pace.

The project will see ALLROADS install over 3km of stormwater pipework and 200 Stormwater Structures (Manholes and Gullies) in Cowper Avenue and surrounding streets.

With works due to wrap up this week on ALLROADS’ Maudsland Road Intersection Upgrade project, the team hosted a site BBQ to recognise the efforts of all involved in delivering this important transport infrastructure contract.

Special recognition (and a BCF Gift card) was given to Wayne Halls from Advanced Surveys. Wayne always has a positive attitude and is extremely efficient as a site surveyor.

A lot of people do not see the work Wayne does behind the scenes as the projects’ site surveyor and the way he is always going above and beyond in assisting the site team with their requirements. Wayne has been instrumental in the recent asphalt surfacing works being performed on night shift in a final push to reach practical completion.

His work over the course of the project is greatly appreciated. Congratulations Wayne!

Some fantastic aerial shots of the last key lifts on ALLROADS’ Howard Creek Causeway Upgrade project. This completes the last of the install of thirty 3600 x 2700 culvert units and nineteen link slabs, with the team now working on the wingwall and headwall before commencing the backfilling and roadworks.

A special shout out to the crew at Mann's Logan Crane Hire for helping our team to continue to power ahead to our March 2023 completion date.

ALLROADS’ Beaudesert-Nerang Road and Maudsland Road Intersection Upgrade and Safety Enhancement Works project for DTMR is nearing completion, with the project on track to wrap-up in mid-February. The team have now completed all of the major excavation works (up to 3m lowered off the previous road height) with only some minor excavation remaining.

This month has also seen the team move onto the finishing works including kerb, concrete footpaths and bus stops, landscaping, asphalt works and installation of guard rail, with the asphalt wearing course, linemarking and installation of traffic signals to follow in February.
