New blades on the Mow Master Scarifier and a rubber skirt to replace the stock standard metal guard.

First vertimow for the season and I couldn't have picked a nicer day for it.

Yes, I've started vertimowing early but there's a reason behind it. I'm not going to be working for 5 weeks and when I do return, this lawn will be ready for it's first cut. Timing is everything!

Thanks to Alan D'opera from Specialised Mower Repairs for servicing the machines and keeping them in A1 shape.

The weather has been amazing today and it was a pleasure to aerate the lawn for a client in Woodvale.
It's been quite some time since I have given the Toro aerator a run and boy it's certainly easier to operate than the walk behind smaller machines.

Core plugs cleaned up and time to feed the lawn.

As many of my clients are aware, I'm taking time off work between 24/8/26 to 27/9/26 to celebrate my 50th Birthday.

The joys of getting older.....

21 days of skin cancerous cells treatment and boy it's certainly not been pleasant!
Last year was my scalp and this year my face.
Stupidity when I was younger has finally caught up with me 😩
If only I could turn back time! 🤷‍♂️

Thankfully, this will settle down in 2 weeks time.

7 weeks ago, this property in Southern River requested a Vertimow to get their lawn in good shape.

I don't normally travel South of the River, but I've put a lot of sweat and tears to reset the lawn and fortnightly maintenance is necessary to ensure this lawn looks magnificent.

Here's just a few pictures of clients lawns who I've had the pleasure of looking after.
Warm weather this week after a weekend of heavy rain has certainly been a blessing.

With winter coming, now is the best time to apply a pre-emergent to ensure your lawn is w**d free over the cooler months.
Stay safe over the Easter break and hopefully you manage to get some time to put up your feet.

Near miss this morning before work... no workers compensation 🤣

I copped a palm frond to my eye when I attempted to pull out a w**d at home, not seeing (pardon the pun) a solid frond which went straight into my eye.

12 hours later and a visit to the doctor and a few fragments of the frond.

Very lucky to avoid a serious injury 🙄

There was lots of planning done leading up to today's work, organising a 10m3 skip bin for the disposal of the waste and even getting the skip bin company to put the bin out the backyard right next to the lawn to save time and effort.
