Queensland farmers: Funding is available to strengthen your water security.

The Queensland Government has reinstated Drought Carry-on Finance Loans, offering eligible primary producers access to up to $250,000 in financial assistance. In addition, Drought Preparedness Grants are available, providing up to $50,000 in co-contribution funding for eligible projects.

Funding can be used for a range of water infrastructure improvements, including water tanks, pipelines, troughs, pumps, bores and other water security initiatives.

Who is out checking their water tank levels?

As our region starts to dry, do you question whether you are making the most of our rainfall when it returns for water storage?

Now is the time to calculate your roof area (house, sheds etc) to your average rainfall. This will give you what size tanks you need to maximise your water storage.
