The 2nd Rheem 16 kW heat pump and 6 x 25 evacuated tube solar hot water system installed in Alexandra Headland
Still a work in progress but the solar harnesses the sun’s energy to preheat the water during daylight hours while the heat pump provides the most efficient electric water heating in the evening

Silver soldering in gusty cool winds requires the additional heat with oxidising flame rather than a cooler neutral flame plus the tip touches the solder for the old heart stopper bang when you least expect it….
