A home set on a steep block often spatial and construction challenges along with beautiful views, and this gorgeous home in Gymea Bay was no different.

Though it was on a large block of land, much of it was so steep as to be rendered unusable, which created a challenge for how to make use of the limited outdoor space.

LIfe Outdoors worked closely with our client to create an elevated patio area that dramatically increases the usable living space of their land and creates a stunning outdoor space to soak in the views... and in the pool!

Never such thing as too much shade! This family have planned their backyard for entertaining in comfort with two pergolas - one attached to the home for dining, and one for lounging poolside.

The Luxe Cantilever, seamlessly integrated into your home, like it always belonged.

With the cost of living starting to bite, adding value to your home to help extend the life of your second most valuable possession - your car - just makes sense.

For a quick and easy approval process, just make sure:

💫 Your carport will sit 900mm off the boundary
💫 Your carport will sit at least 1m back from the building line on your street.

(In Georges River Council, a carport must also sit at least 5.5m from the front setback line and must not sit forward of the front building line.)

This Mediterranean-inspired outdoor space needed an outdoor living area that would visually connect with the pool and landscape design.

We started with a Luxe Cantilever structure, but opted to incorporate a front frame with radiused corners to create a more enclosed, postcard-view effect looking over the Dapto hills.

The design challenge: The structure was positioned in front of a window, but the owners really wanted to create a more cosy, enclosed feel, so to achieve that effect while balancing the need to retain light into the home, we screened the back in, and positioned an arched opening along the back wall to allow light to flow through.

The great thing about working with Life Outdoors and Luxe Cantilever is that you can customise your structure to create exactly what your design requires. For a landscape designer, that means you can get creative while we take care of the manufacture & installation.

The thing with building a verandah attached to your home, is it's not just adding an outdoor living space. Sure, you'll have countless hours spent out here with a morning coffee or watching sunsets as you chill out with family and friends, but what you may not have considered is the way it transforms how you live INSIDE your home.

You'll find the doors are open so much more. The fresh air flowing through your home more. A sense of connectedness to the outdoors - hearing the breeze and the birds, feeling like you can step outside at any moment without finding shoes... It makes living in your home feel more open and relaxing.

And this one? The insulated roof blends so seamlessly with the home that it looks like it was always there.
