A Level 2 electrician’s office can look a little different from most!

Working at heights isn’t a one-person job. With multiple staff on the ground supporting the work, maintaining awareness of the surroundings and keeping an eye on the traffic below, the whole team plays a part in keeping the job safe.

Just casually hanging around mains voltage... Kinda chic.

Did you know the NSW Government recommends getting quotes from licensed electricians with EV charger experience when installing a home EV charger?

That’s because installing an EV charger isn’t simply a matter of putting a charger on the wall and connecting it to your power.

Your electrician needs to understand your home’s electrical capacity, switchboard, cabling, protection requirements and the specific requirements of EV charging.

Why choose an electrician who knows EV chargers?

✅ Experience with EV charging systems
✅ Assessment of your existing electrical supply
✅ Correct cable sizing and circuit protection
✅ Safe and compliant installation
✅ Knowledge of different EV chargers and charging requirements
✅ Professional testing and commissioning

Another successful emergency pole replacement ⚡️🛠️

Our team attended site following a defect report and found the existing private pole had completely rusted through at ground level. With wind gusts reaching around 40 km/hr, the pole had fallen over and created a serious safety risk.

As qualified Level 2 Electricians, we made the site safe and arranged traffic control to safely close the pedestrian footpath. We then:

- Disconnected power to safely remove the damaged pole
- Repaired and extended damaged consumer mains
- Supplied and installed a new galvanised private pole
- Installed the existing consumer mains inside the new pole
- Installed new overhead cable between the Ausgrid pole and private pole
- Reconnected and tested the property’s power supply
- Completed and submitted the defect rectification paperwork to Ausgrid

The site was safely restored, power was confirmed, and everything was packed down and left secure.

Another job completed safely, efficiently and to Australian standards. 💪⚡️

A Level 2 electrician's work zone is actually really specific. It's the section of network between the property and the local network operator's system: the service mains, the point of attachment, the consumer mains, and the metering equipment. Basically, the "middle ground" between the street and your switchboard.

Unsure whether you need a Level 2 ASP? Give us a call! 📲 02 8201 3903
