✅ Project Complete at Rostrevor College!

Chappell Builders is proud to announce the completion of the Rice Building redevelopment at Rostrevor College.

In collaboration with Edge Architects, we have transformed the former single‑storey lecture hall into a contemporary two‑level facility featuring a modern health hub and a range of upgraded amenities.

The project involved the removal of the original amphitheatre seating and façade, allowing us to construct a new internal structure and suspended slab within the existing building envelope.

With construction and fit‑out now finalised, we’re excited to see this revitalised space support the College community for years to come 🤩

Resthaven Leabrook – Stage 1 Complete! 🙌

Excited to share a great milestone at Resthaven Leabrook, where Chappell has kicked off a six‑stage refurbishment with the successful completion of Stage 1 (the Mortmer Wing).

The project is transforming the facility with upgraded services, structural improvements, fully refreshed rooms, common areas, and kitchen spaces -plus revitalised landscaping to lift the overall amenity.

Delivering this work within a live aged‑care environment is a challenge we’re proud to meet. It takes precise planning, smart sequencing, and constant communication to manage service shutdowns, noise, and safe access for residents, staff, and visitors.

A huge team effort to keep the facility running smoothly while the upgrades take shape 👍

PROJECT COMPLETE 👏

Proud to announce the completion of the new Early Learning Centre at the Fleurieu Health and Wellbeing Precinct in Chiton! 🌳

Designed by Troppo Architects, built by Chappell Builders, and managed by DCWC, this innovative facility will provide a nurturing environment for approximately 120 children every day.

Featuring rammed earth walls, hardwood timber, and purpose-built learning spaces, the centre is a beautifully crafted project and a testament to what strong collaboration can achieve.

A special thank you to our wonderful Client - Fleurieu Health and Wellbeing Group, for their cooperation, support, and partnership throughout the entire build process. Your trust and engagement made this project a pleasure to deliver. 🤩

✨ Goolwa Ambulance Station Refurbishment Complete ✨

The recently completed refurbishment of the Goolwa Ambulance Station has transformed a tired facility into a modern, high‑functioning space that better supports our frontline teams.

Project managed by the Department of Infrastructure and Transport SA and designed by Walter Brooke, Chappell Builders delivered a comprehensive upgrade to the existing brick station - bringing it up to contemporary standards while enabling the much‑needed expansion of Ambulance Services in the region.

The improved facility now features upgraded training spaces, garage bays, crew rooms, amenities, offices, and kitchen areas.

We’re proud to have delivered a practical, considered refurbishment that strengthens essential services and supports the people who rely on them most 🚑 😊

✨ Project Complete – Ngutu College✨

Chappell is proud to announce the completion of Building 2 at Ngutu College, where upgraded learning, music, and sporting spaces are now energising the campus.

🎵 The music facilities now feature high‑quality acoustic panels, patterned ceilings, and a bold piano‑keys feature wall - creating an inspiring space for creativity. We also delivered purpose‑built storage to support the College’s ice hockey team and their specialised equipment.

📚 Students now enjoy refreshed learning areas and updated chill‑out zones designed for flexibility, comfort, and collaboration. Campus upgrades also include new energy‑efficient lighting, improved mechanical services, and modernised bathrooms.

This is our 5th project across 3 buildings with Ngutu College. We are proud to continue this strong collaboration along with matthews architects.

Matt Sanders from Chappell Builders and Luke Liddicoat from BADGE Constructions didn’t just arrive at work today… they made an entrance!!

🤩 Nothing turns heads on site quite like not one, but two 1974 Land Rovers rolling in as if they’ve just wrapped up an outback expedition (or more like from the comfort of the home garage 😆).

These two aren’t just industry colleagues — they’re a fully fledged Landy Appreciation Society!

There’s something about a vintage Land Rover that brings out everyone’s inner adventurer. In a world full of modern tech and creature comforts, seeing these classics roll in, is a reminder of the charm of getting back to basics - raw engineering, simple mechanics, and vehicles built to go anywhere!

Matt and Luke definitely stole the spotlight today — and their Landys did most of the heavy lifting 💪

As we wrap up 2025 with our staff end-of-year celebration, we’re reflecting on what has truly been an exceptional year.

🏢 We completed an exciting office renovation, creating a space that inspires collaboration and innovation.

This year also marked some very special milestones:
🎉 We celebrated Matt Sanders, our General Manager, on his 10-year tenure – a decade of leadership, vision, and commitment.
🏆 Neil McCulloch, Site Manager, was honoured with the Golden Chappelli Award, recognising the team member who best embodies our core values of Teamwork, Integrity, Client Focus, Continuous Improvement, and Accountability in their day-to-day work.

None of this would have been possible without our incredible people – their hard work and commitment have enabled our success. We also extend heartfelt thanks to their supportive partners, who stand behind them every step of the way.

We’re proud to share that our amazing team took part in Movember this year by growing their moustaches — and together within the BADGE Group we raised over $2000! 👨🏻👨🏽👨🏿

To keep the momentum going mid‑growth, we also hosted a Movember Afternoon Tea ☕🍰. It was a chance to share the progress of our moustaches, spark conversations, and raise additional funds while enjoying some laughs and good company.

For those who may not know, Movember is a global movement dedicated to changing the face of men’s health. Each November, people grow a moustache to raise awareness and funds for critical issues such as:

Prostate cancer
Testicular cancer
Mental health and su***de prevention

It’s more than just facial hair — it’s about raising awareness, breaking stigmas, and supporting life‑saving projects worldwide. 💙

🚀 Milestone Achieved at Klose’s Foodland, Williamstown

Last week marked a major step forward for Chappell Builders on the Klose’s Foodland project in Williamstown.

Across Wednesday and Thursday, the team successfully completed back to back concrete pours, amassing approximately 450 cubes.

It was an early start in the hills – 4am on a chilly 3 degree morning – but the commitment and teamwork shone through.

A special shout out to the project team, whose outstanding coordination ensured everything ran seamlessly!
