When Matthew Nicks and his family came to us, the brief was clear - to restore and transform the heritage home they'd owned for fifteen odd years into a welcoming sanctuary that brings the family together within its shared spaces. 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑡𝒆𝒔𝒕 is the result of the collaboration between our interior design and building teams, alongside architect PLY / ARCHITECTURE.

We are so grateful to Matt and the Nicks family for their kind words. Thank you Matt and Courtney for trusting us to bring the vision of your 'happy place' to reality!

The brief was to reimagine the original heritage home for a busy family of five: somewhere cooking, homework, connection and entertaining could all happen in tandem, without losing the character that made them fall in love with the 100-year-old villa in the first place.

So we did both. The heritage front has been lovingly restored, from the verandah to the sash windows and original chandeliers. Out the back, a generous new extension brings everyone together around a sculptural limestone island, with the double-sided fireplace, alfresco and pool just a few steps away.

A favourite detail is the curves. Inspired by the home’s original archways, they are thoughtfully featured throughout, from the joinery to the steel sliders, tying the old and new together beautifully.

Swipe through for a first look inside. ✨

We're thrilled to share that π‘½π’Šπ’„π’•π’π’“π’Šπ’‚ 𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒍 has been named in the Australian House & Garden Top 50 Rooms Longlist in the Best Bathroom category.

Set within a circa-1894 Victorian mansion, this space was reimagined as a fully marble-clad, spa-like retreat, honouring the heritage bones of the home while introducing a refined European sensibility, from the floor-to-ceiling honed Carrara marble to the bespoke stone joinery and considered lighting.

Thank you to the team at Australian House & Garden for the recognition. Being included among some of the best rooms in the country is a genuine honour, and a lovely reminder of why we love what we do.

𝑾𝒆'𝒓𝒆 π’‰π’Šπ’“π’Šπ’π’ˆ ~ We're growing here at Craig Linke, and we're currently looking to fill two newly created roles suited to people who care about the details as much as we do.

Head of Client Experience: full-time, owning the journey from first enquiry through to handover and beyond, so every client feels looked after and experiences the white glove service we’re known for at every step.

Digital Marketing Manager: part-time, shaping how Craig Linke shows up on a range of digital channels, and helping the right people find us.

Both roles are based at our Kent Town headquarters. If you're drawn to considered design, and artisan craftsmanship, we'd love to hear from you.

𝟏𝟎 π’šπ’†π’‚π’“π’” 𝒐𝒇 π‘±π’‚π’Œπ’† ~ A decade ago our General Manager Jake Devlin, a carpenter and concreter by trade, walked through our doors - and we knew right away he was a keeper! Fast forward through some of our most complex builds, growing with the company, and becoming a business partner in 2021, and we’re excited to be celebrating ten years of Jake at Craig Linke!

Jake brings his expertise to every Craig Linke project - he’s the kind of guy who gets into the numbers just as much as the nuts and bolts on site, and his attention to detail is next level. But it’s not all spreadsheets and site visits. Jake brings the laughs and the energy to the team, and if there’s music playing, chances are he’s out there busting his signature move.... yep, the worm. πŸ•Ίβ

He and Craig work (and play) so closely together that people often genuinely think they’re brothers (or occasionally father and son...but that’s another story!).

It was great to pause last week for celebratory cake to mark 10 years of Jake at Craig Linke.

Here’s to the next 10 years, Jake. We couldn’t do it without you! πŸ™ŒπŸŽ‚

The landscape unfolds through layered terracing, with architectural concrete steps and lush plantings connecting each zone.

The outdoor kitchen incorporates an integrated pizza oven and BBQ housed within a sculptural curved concrete bench, flowing into an alfresco dining and lounge area beneath an automated louvred roof system. Beyond, the nine metre lap pool and spa connect seamlessly to a self-contained pool house, complete with bathroom and laundry amenities.

Grounded in considered details that speak to both form and function, this is a space that will be enjoyed for many years to come!

Thank you to our lovely clients, Mark & Rabia, for entrusting us to create this beautiful outdoor living space that is already playing host to family gatherings year round.

On Saturday night we were honoured to be awarded Kitchen Design of the Year at the HIA Australian Housing Awards for our much-loved 𝑳𝒆 π‘±π’‚π’“π’…π’Šπ’ project!

National recognition not only for our building work, but now also for our design work, is extremely meaningful to our team, and a reflection of the level of work our interior design studio delivers.

Carried from early ideas through to ex*****on with care by our team, 𝑳𝒆 π‘±π’‚π’“π’…π’Šπ’ brings together a layered, textural palette and a series of considered, softened forms, designed to be lived in and celebrated within.

Congratulations to Lead Interior Designer, Charlotte Standish, for conceiving this beautiful space, and to our building team for crafting this design with precision.

Completed for a very special moment in our clients’ lives, it’s a project we feel grateful to have been entrusted with. We’re very thankful to see it acknowledged on the national stage, recognised alongside leading projects across the country.

Pictured are images of this beautiful project, as well as Directors Craig and Jake accepting the award, and together with Executive Director Stephen Knight.
