Urban Caves URBAN CAVES pre-fabricates, delivers and installs fully insulated garden sheds in the Blue Mountains. URBAN CAVES was founded by Guy Brown in 2016.

Originally from Christchurch, New Zealand, Guy also spent time living, working, and studying in England before settling in Katoomba, Australia, with his family in 2013. A Civil Engineering graduate from Coventry University, Guy has extensive experience in the construction industry, including roles as a detailed designer, site supervisor, and project manager overseeing the installation of imported

cabin kitsets throughout Greater Sydney. Today, Urban Caves operates as a Trust with a dedicated team of six, serving the Blue Mountains community with a focus on quality and innovation.

TWO INSTALLATION SPACES AVAILABLE | THIS SCHOOL TERM

We have an unexpected opening in our installation schedule and can take on up to two additional Urban Caves installations this school term.

If you've been considering a backyard cabin and you're in a position to move fairly quickly, this could be a particularly good time to talk to us.

We're able to offer special pricing for these two installation spaces, with additional savings available for:

The cabins are now structurally complete and ready for the electrician to return for the final fit-off. From here it's just the finishing touches before handover.

🌿 Level Access Option

These before and after photos show one way we can sometimes create level access from the backyard onto the deck and into the cabin.

On suitable sloping sites, treated pine retaining sleepers can be used to build up the ground alongside part or all of the deck, reducing or even eliminating the need for steps.

Because every block is different, this isn't possible on every installation. Sometimes it's an opportunity we're able to incorporate after the base frame has already been concreted into place and we can see how the finished levels come together.

Another productive stage on site. This project combines two Darley 20 studios side by side to create a larger custom space while following the same proven Urban Caves construction system.

✅ Today's Progress

✓ Wall frames erected
✓ Rafter frames installed
✓ Electrical rough-in completed
✓ Insulation batts installed
✓ Roof blanket installed
✓ Roof sheets installed

⭐ Today's Milestone

The structure is now wrapped up and weatherproof, with the roof complete and electrical rough-in finished. This is the stage where the project really starts to look like a cabin.
